securing knobs on pedals
On my gig yesterday, I bumped the knobs on my Harmony pedal during the gig. Must have accidentally hit them with my shoe when hitting the on/off button... The result was switching it to a fixed key (B) instead of set to control my harmonies by sensing what I'm playing on guitar. Ouch! Really bad if you're not playing in B!!! And I also bumped the knob that sets which harmonies. I usually leave it set for one just above and one just below. It got bumped to something else.
Do any of you have a solution for securing knobs on pedals other than what I did yesterday - putting a piece of duct tape over them??? Someone somewhere had suggested just dabbing a bit of silicon on the ones you want to stay put. Silicon comes off pretty easily when you need to remove it.

I've always just used electrical tape. Easy on. Easy off.

Small rubber O-rings from a real hardware store. Take the knob off, put em on the pot shaft. Size so they go around the pot nut and can compress between the pedal body and the knob. Push the knob until you get the drag you like between the o-ring and the knob. Gives a nice damped feel. Works a long time, Unobtrusive and cheap.

Rubber bands will also work.

I wonder if it might be simple enough to just take a small block of wood (or some other material) and drill holes into it so it just slips over the knobs... ? Hmmm...
