That certain Taylor live sound ...
I've been very happy with my Taylor's plugged-in sound since I got it. Plugged into a variety of systems, some better than others. Probably least satisfying was a Fishman SA220 - until now.
The band I just joined uses a powered mixer-amp and a couple of Behringer 12" non-powered speakers. I plug in using my Radial PZ Pre - and have also plugged in direct to the mixer at practices. Nothing I can do with EQ has helped the sound. On some other PA systems, I've had to tweak the notch filter occasionally, but that hasn't done much with this system. Since I have a nice mixer that I have always been able to get good sound from with various speakers, I'm thinking I need to just invest in some decent powered speakers and tell the guys we're going to use my system.

In practice last night, I paid attention to my sound, and it wasn't quite as bad - so I think it's a volume issue, we were quite low last night.
