Default Imbuia Burl Acoustic

I own a couple Ray Lynch guitars (luthier/builder in Rural Hall, NC). This is a Imbuia Burl body with Sitka spruce. It is a gorgeous guitar with a well balanced voice. My question is, are there many builders out there that build acoustics with Imbuia? I noticed that taylor has some, but Im unaware of any others. If not, is there any reason why not? could it be availability? Thanks, ive enclosed a couple of pictures. thanks

I love Imbuia. Wish it were more readily available, but it's hard to come by. I'd stock up as it's a great tonewood IMO.

Here's one I just finished in November 2010 with a Cedar top.

Rod, thanks so much for the input, that is one beautiful guitar. I read your thread about the building of your guitar, and i am totally impressed with your craftmanship, truly a beautiful guitar, and im sure it sounds every bit as good as it looks. Thanks again for your response.

I built one with Imboya. Nice wood. Nice to work with. One of my favourite woods I've worked with. I paired it with Alaskan Yellow Cedar.

heres a couple more pictures , the top has quite a bit of bearclaw. I guess the bracing gives it such an exceptional voice, more than the Imbuia?
