My 1935 Gibson through Tonedexter.
I did a short recording of my 1935 Gibson Black Special L50 through Tonedexter, used my Neumann KM184 mic and the Character setting is on about 1/4 (from left).
The pickup is a Shatten bridge pickup for archtops (piezo inside an ebony removable bridge). I am going to play this guitar much more now! https://soundcloud.com/bk7-3/l50-2-td77 BluesKing777. |

1. Specific model of the Schatten bridge pickup? It's passive, right? 2. You say about 1/4 from left on the Character knob. You're using V1.30 code? That would be in blend territory, perhaps 50% ish? Please clarify.

Thanks! Unfortunately, Schatten don't make the pickup anymore, don't know why. It is great - loosen strings, take old floating bridge out, put in case, place Schatten! (I had mine semi-installed with an endpin, but you could just hang the lead loose.) https://reverb.com/au/item/520539-sc...-guitar-pickup Character knob on 1/4 in V1.30 (about 50% blend). And it is even better in the flesh, thanks James! (I used to run it through my Aura, but there was no image like it at all, so I used a dread image. - This is perfect!). Oh, all eq was run flat on A&H mixer> iMac. BluesKing777. Last edited by BluesKing777; 02-12-2018 at 06:58 PM. |
