Default Pigtronix Bob Weir's Real Deal Acoustic Preamp

You might want to consider this if you're having issues playing your A/E (especially multi-source pickup guitars) on LOUD stages. Interesting box.

So, the microphone channel they keep talking about, is that if you're going to also externally mic the guitar, or is that for the vocal mic? Kind of an all over the place demo. If it does what they say, that wasn't the way to demo that at all.

It looks like it allows you to blend in an external mic with 48v phantom power. So you can plug a max of three inputs, one stereo signal, and then a trs mic input.

This seems similar to an onboard system BBand put out several years, with a crossover that allowed the piezo pickup to handle the low end while filling in the high end with an internal condenser.

I think the L. R. Baggs Anthem system does something similar?

This one perhaps is external and more flexible, and maybe a higher quality because it doesn't have to run on a 9 volt.

Seems neat and could be a cool option if you want a small footprint. However, there's not enough here to really impress me.

I will say this though, it looks like John Mayer is having an influence on Bob Weir in terms of gear. I saw Bob's most recent set up and it looks like something you would expect to see over at thegearpage.
