Default Can I play through electric amp or my pc with a audio interface

So I have a new Yamaha A3M on the way. I'm a newbie to guitars and I don't have an acoustic amp. I can't afford the guitar AND the amp,,,,lol.

But I do have a Fender Super Champ X2. It has the 16 different voices. Can I make that sound like an acoustic guitar.

Then I also have an audio interface hooked up to my stereo receiver and computer. Can I just play through that into my stereo speakers. Will that sound right,,,lol.

I told you guys I was a newbie.

I’ve plugged in my acoustic guitars to vintage tube based amps and got decent sound. Generally works best with amps like a Deluxe Reverb or other models having lots of headroom.

It's an acoustic guitar, you know you don't HAVE to plug it in, right?

Try it with the amp, you'll need to find the cleanest settings on the amp, unless you purposely want some distortion.

Yes, you could plug it into your audio interface, assuming that has an instrument input.

I have a vintage Fender Hot Rod Deville 410 amp and I would NOT recommend it for acoustics. I thought a tube amp would work well but not this one. I picked up a Fishman Loudbox and couldn’t be happier with the sound.

Welcome to guitars and the AGF. It's America, you can do whatever you want so I say plug it in and see what you think. Just be aware that your amp is not set up to make your amplified acoustic sound like it does unamplified. Some folks love the sound of an acoustic guitar through an electric guitar amp. There are also folks you'll encounter here on the forum that will tell you this practice is heresy-so there you have it. Enjoy experimenting and make up your own mind.
