Congratulations and thanks for all the great info on what to think of when shoppers by for a 12 string.

I’ve got an itch for playing a 12 string and have gravitated toward Taylors partly because of price and neck profile. So far I’m most impressed with the 458e but it’s way out of what I’d be comfortable with with regards to price and construction. The GA sized 254ce DLX seems to push a few more buttons (gloss finish, neck profile, hardshell case, believe it or not but laminated sides and the ES2) for me but I much prefer the “oomph” of the larger x58 body style.

Ah well, me having another guitar is sort of a pipe dream anyways.

There was a 458 12 string (less than a year old) available in the AGF classifieds. The price was excellent, if I recall.

Oh man...I’ve been intrigued by that very model! I can’t though. We need the money to finance two bathroom remodels.
