Thank you so much!!!
Here a simple recording 2 days after the first strings! Only guitar and microphone, no effects! (I'm not the perfomer, the performer is my friend Augusto Ausanio I built the guitar to) Ciao, Enzo Last edited by clark25; 06-24-2016 at 06:48 AM. |

Very nice indeed
I am intrigued by the floating neck! Frees up more top to make tone. And kind of like a classical elevated fretboard.
Very pretty and clean appearance! Sounds good too!! Way to go... Cheers. Paul

That's really very nice. I love that end graph design and I love that cutout shape too. How's the sound? Do you notice any tonal qualities with that sort of Thomas Humphrey elevated design?
Oh and... How in the world is that truss cover attached? Another very nice design I like it a lot. |

Very nice! McPherson employs what I think they refer to as a cantilever neck similar to yours. I wish more guitar makers would do that.
But I'm wondering, does there need to be a larger radius going from heel to neck (photos 8,9 and 10). I hope I'm saying that right. Perhaps some other luthiers could weigh in on that.

Actually wrt the Humphrey guitars, mine has the neck/fretboard floating like archtops or violins, so it's elevated, but floating too. I think the floating neck gives frees the top to vibrate a little more, but I think the elevated fingerboard gives an easy way to access to the frets from neck joint to the sound hole. The tross rod cover is magnetic Enzo |

Actually the top radius is 30' as usual, I rotated the top using the bridge as pivot and gives to the sound box a wedge profile as you can see from the following picture Enzo |
