Default Feedback on my new Emerald Opus X20

Verbatim note to Sean at Emerald earlier today other than my forum name. Thanks AGF guys (and gals) for turning me onto Emerald Guitars.

It arrived today. Put my own strings on it (Thomastik 10's), adjusted the neck relief ever so slightly to get action as low as reasonable. I’m not sure I even need to bring this for a setup and it’s really comfortable for me to play right now. I’m in love. I know you’ve heard this before so I won’t embellish too much. Man, it’s delicate sounding, sweet, with notes that ring from now until tomorrow. Intonation perfect. Aesthetically beautiful. Size is perfect for me. Finish is beautiful. Price is right. Ok enough.

Thanks for the great communication and the gorgeous guitar. I will speak highly of Emerald Guitars.

Yep - that is the glamour shot. I think it is so great that Emerald includes a professional photography session with each guitar! What a great way to share images with family and friends (including those on the CF sub-forum).

Second that, Capt.

I owned a bunch of EBMM guitars. When I got hold of a 25th Anniversary limited rosewood neck one, I proposed for professional photography of that particular series, just like their John Petrucci's. But their CEO suggested that it would be too costly and don't think I need to elaborate further on the outcome.

Whether is it for generating more interest, or simply a gift for the owners, to me it's really a nice gesture from Emerald.

I bet the guys at Emerald do their own photo shoots... it is easy and inexpensive when your are set up for it with a digital SLR... other Makers would do well to take note.

They do. They send a set of high quality jpgs on a memory card with each guitar.

Class act.
