Seagull S12 Cedar with Seagull Padded Gig Bag- PRICE REDUCED
Up for sale is a very nice North American made Seagull S12 with solid cedar top, and wild cherry back and sides. I don't know if you have ever played a cedar-topped 12 string before, but it is a great experience. The cedar tends to mellow out some of the overly chimney sounds, leaving you with a rich full tone. Check out the reviews online, and you will see that people love this 12-string! Reason for selling:to fund a recent purchase (most of you know how that goes!)
The action on this guitar is nice and low without any buzz. It plays as smooth as butter. The neck is straight and true. There are no cracks or dents, although it is not pristine (please see pics below). There are some signs of play wear on the back of the neck and around the soundhole, but otherwise it's good. This guitar will be shipped with a like-new Seagull padded gig bag, which sells for 45 bucks, but I'm including for free. IF you were thinking about adding something with a slightly different sound than the usual old six-string to your collection, this might just be the guitar for you. Asking $260 plus $39 shipping to CONUS only. I promise you, you will be geting a lot of guitar for a small price! Email me at [email protected] if you have any interest or any questions. Id like to concur with the comment in the description--
"The cedar tends to mellow out some of the overly chimney sounds, leaving you with a rich full tone." (lets first correct the auto-corrected "chimney" to "chimy") Yes, that was my experience with the Cedar topped Seagull I had as well. The jangly sound common with the Martin and Guild Spruce topped 12 string models I had heard (and owned) was reigned in. Not saying either sound was bad or better, just saying I liked what the Seagull brought to the potluck. My Cedar topped 12 String Seagull, was well mannered and enjoyed for many years. No affiliation with seller, but I had good experience with a similar guitar. |

Thanks for the affirmation, Woodbox! Yes, cedar is a very cool sound, especially on a 12-banger. Nice fragrance too!

Not affiliated with the seller, but I purchased a new one of these 6-7 years ago. I've literally "played" a good portion, of the finish, off of the neck. I call it mojo! A great guitar for the price!
