I just use a Zoom G3 multi-effects unit -- pretty much just chorus, delay, distortion and tremolo for me -- with a Boomerang III looper.

Here's mine:
BOSS GE-7 EQ BOSS RV-3 Digital Delay/Reverb (best single pedal ever made IMO) BOSS CH-1 Super Chorus BOSS DM-2 Analog Delay (expensive, but worth it) BOSS TR-2 Tremolo BOSS TU-3 Tuner. Also powers the other pedals BOSS BCB-6 Carrying case. It makes for instant setup/takedown. I particularly love the sound of the DM-2 > CH-1. Very important that the DM-2 comes before the CH-1. All of my acoustics are equipped with K&K Pure Mini pups. I play through one of the following depending on the venue: * 2006 Fender Acoustasonic Jr DSP * Fishman Loudbox Mini * Fishman Loudbox Performer Most often i use the Fender because it has the best sounding vocal channel I've ever sung through (guitar channel is not great, but good enough). I also love the tilt-back legs for getting sound to the back of the room. All of my gear except the guitar fits on a little collapsable carrier. That makes loadins/outs a one trip deal. Also, do have noise issues that warrant the noise gate? |

So it's a great pedal as your only reverb or complimenting another. As for the noise issues, the electronics in my Taylor 810ce are fairly noisy when using any kind of pre amp before a DI and a PA (I don't usually hear it with just an amp, for instance. Or if I'm skipping the pedalboard, Tonebone included, and just going through a passive DI into the PA). It also gets worse with the compressor. I have the Sentry set on a pretty low setting just to get rid of the noise when I'm not playing. Zero tone suck unlike some other noise pedals out there. That being said, the noise isn't horrible by any means, just something I wanted to get rid of. Last edited by gotglade; 01-10-2017 at 03:14 PM. |

I let one of my buddies play thru the Fender while I walked around the gymnasium, and checked it out, I was very impressed with the tone and volume of the Fender. It sounded great thru out the room. Very professional. That was the biggest room I play out now days, so it's adequate for my needs. The Marshall would be okay for home use or a coffee shop type gig. It has a nice tone, but like I said the on board reverb sucks and if you want reverb, you'd need a reverb pedal or rack unit to go along with it. The good thing about the Marshall is you can pick them up used for $200-250. The Fender SFX sells for $899 new.
