Yes people around here often will assist with loose stock. But this is not a matter of livestock being loose, this is an intentional drive from the winter pasture on private land, to the summer pasture on the National Forest grazing permit area .

I witnessed a similar event at Music Ranch Montana a few years ago. It was fairly early in the morning, and cowboys were driving cattle across the highway from Livingstone to Gardiner. Very impressive.

What do you mean " got in trouble" ?

Also you might want to downsize your photos before posting them Usually 700 to 800 pixels max width, is a good size.

In many parts of the world indigenous people don't like being photographed. Some will let you if you offer some kind of baksheesh, generally money.
They raised a stink about it and made us delete the photos. I thought I had but found 2 left when I got home.
That's the first time I successfully got a photo to show up in a post. Will definitely work on the size next time.

Interesting I had heard of such aversion to being photo'ed (And thought that might be it) but was curious if that was it.
if you have any kind of photo editing program there is probably a resizing option. The pink tuffs on the ears are they dyed natural tuffs ?
