Koaguitarman remembered, again
The latest issue of "Wood & Steel" has a nice piece on the passing Russ Lewark, our favorite koa guitar man. You'll find the story on page 29 of the Summer 2017 issue.

Russ was truly a Nice Guy, with tons of stories, a quick wit, and a gentle spirit that gave him patience when far less koa-knowledgeable folks were losing theirs. He certainly had a big influence on this forum, and no, it wasn't just the way we all drooled whenever he posted pictures of his koa-llection. I miss him, but am thankful to have gotten to know him at all. Without Taylor guitars and the AGF, I would not have. I look forward to the day when the Pony Express finally arrives with my issue of Wood & Steel. (I'm not upset - I understand them ponies is gettin' right on up there!)

Better Late Than Never
I just received my Wood & Steel in mail today and as I turned the pages 1st time through , Seen Picture of Russ / Koaguitarman ! I was unaware of his passing .
We had something in common KOA Taylors ! Back in the Taylor Guitar Forum / TGF days. I signed on in 2002 and became a Koa nut too. The Kenny Loggings Signature Model was my Fav. and Russ has one of the best and beautiful one's out their! Still have my KLSM . Had many Koa Taylors . Love um. Glad I had a chance to be part of his great KOA Taylor times, Very nice Taylor did the write up in Wood & Steel. I'll never forget him
