Adding side fret marker to a classical?
I have a Hill New World Player classical on which I'd like to place at least one fret marker on thside of the neck. Is this something a neophyte could do, and if so, what would be used? I looked in the Stew Mac catalog and was unsure of what to use. Also, is there a non-invasive way to mark frets that actually looks good?

Easiest thing to do is place a dot on the side using a typewriter liquid eraser. This is what violin players do. You can try tape or even peel-and-stick dots from a business supply store.
If you are VERY handy and equally careful, you can get some plastic or brass rod, drill a hole to match, apply some CA in the hole, insert the rod, cut it off proud, then trim it down to match the finished surface. You can buy abolone dots and do the same thing, but glue them to a piece of veneer first before you insert them, that way they'll be flush with the surface when they dry. BTW, I got all this info by doing a search on on this forum for "Side Fret Markers". This topic has come up many times over the years.
