Decent budget priced audio interface for PC
I have an acoustic guitar and would like to do a basic mike-to-audio interface so I can record some basic tunes. This is for self-improvement, not any type of real recording effort.
Wondering if I can get some suggestions for a mike/interface combo that would allow me to record the guitar and vocals? Also any specifics to avoid if I go shopping on my own. I know there are a lot of studio guys out there, but that level of gear would be beyond my needs and budget. Perhaps best bang for buck at the low end? Thanks Gary |

One alternative might be a Boss BR-80 (or BR-800 for even more flexibility).
That will provide a USB interface which works well, effects, and stand-alone recording capability as well.....

The Audiobox is good... Comes as a "Studio" with a matched Mic and cable: http://altomusic.com/shop/Presonus-A...o_pid112220.am
Also there is the zoom H2... and the H4Next. Both are portable recorders with built in mics. The R8... also by zoom... is a portable smartmedia recorder/interface. The Mbox -Mini, Fast Track. There are quite a few options. The question is how deep into learning a software do you want to go? ...And what do you currently have to record with/into? |

If you are on the Apple platform then the Apogee 'One' might be a good choice.
