Repairing a Fingernail with CA?
I have a cracked finger nail at a most inopportune time; I need it to play finger style next week. I was thinking about brushing on some CA to strengthen it and maybe wick into the crack to repair it until it grows out. Is this a good idea or a bad idea?

It works; many have used that method to repair a nail. CA glue is used in some circumstances to close wounds or incisions.

You can buy fiberglass or silk tape to cover the break and then apply CA also. Buy at any beauty supply store like Sally's if they have that where you live. I think I saw a viseo showing that James Taylor uses that to strengthen his nails.

Here is a trick I use. CA glue and a piece of a coffee filter. Brush on the glue, press the coffee filter in the glue, then brush on more glue. CA glue eventually wears away, but it'll get you through a performance.
I'm a guitar tech and regularly accidentally sand through a fingernail. (ouch)
