Default help me find my dream model.

It's short scale, 1 3/4 width nut, cutaway, mahogany or rosewood sides, preferably with a tasty pick up system. Basically a short scale version of the martin performance series would do it. experience so far has me likingt martins and gibsons. Not yet been overly impressed with taylors - too bright (at least the ones I have heard ) Any ideas/suggestions? Cheers!

You could have Martin's Custom Shop build you a short-scale version of one of their performance series guitars. The Aura pickup system in that guitar is first rate.

I dont know if he offers pickup installation, or what your price range is, but if I were looking for an short scale OM, I'd be talking to Simon Fay. It's all I can do NOT to order one, when I'm not even looking for an OM!

Outstanding balanced tone, top of the line woods, great craftmanship, pretty reasonably priced but not cheap. Larrivee.

Don't forget to ask for the street price, may bring 'er right into your budget.

http://www.trinityguitars.com/steelstr/frame.htm call Jim, he also carries Martin & Taylor as well as builds his own.
