Default Another comparison video of my D-18 vs D-28 vs J-45 : Which one do you like best?

Well the strings are over almost two months old now from my last thread and I think all three of the guitars are sounding better now that all that new string zing is long gone

Here's a short clip doing some flatpicking on all three guitars (tried to keep the playing the same for each guitar, but got slightly distracted by someone walking past my window when playing the J-45 - if you wonder why I keep looking outside).

Which one do you think sounds the best?

The D-18, then the J-45 (a close second) and then the D-28

This was interesting because I am looking at a D-28 or a Blueridge BR-160A. Perhaps I am no longer looking at one.

They all sound good to me. But aside from the guitars I am mesmerized by how your right hand moves and your body seems to be grooving with the music. Not sure it is but it looks like it’s in slow motion.

They all sound good - especially for this style of music.

The D-18 is a little thin (treble heavy) for my taste, but it works here.
The D-28 is warmer and, for me, a more beautiful sound.
The Gibson sounds like most I hear - kind of that dead string sound. I know that works for a lot of people, but I like way more sustain.

I think that’s a kind of optical illusion to do with video frame rate. A sort of strobe effect (?)

Nice pickin’ , D18 wins this one

I liked all three.
I'm not someone who is married to any particular voicing.
