Oh man, I go away for the weekend for a cycling event and miss the grand unveiling! (Though Bruce did send me the pics.) Can't wait to see this in person and am doubly amped to see the next one come along. Tim

Eric Schoenberg is hosting a concert in his shop Thursday evening, 3/22 featuring Tony Marcus and Andy Stein. I have heard Tony many times, and Andy too, but not in person, rather as the fiddler on Garrison Keilor's version of Prairie Home Companion. I will enjoy the music, but the tipping point for deciding to go is that Eric requires me to show him the Koa Schoenberg Soloist before I send it to Tim, and it is ready to go. I reckon I'll take Jmat's too and make it a party. If anyone wants to see them before they leave California, that'd be a good opportunity.

Haven't checked in for a bit Bruce, but some awesome stuff... That koa is amazing, and I can't wait to see more of the Tree... the rosewood guitar is not too shabby either - beautiful!

In additional, I may take this guitar to Artisan for the East coasters.

I will have Bruce's Oz' Blackwood/Adirondack SJ with me as well at the Artisan Guitar Show.

That would be a very interesting meet-up at Artisan, those two guitars are quite different from each other. It would hard to say one is better than the other . . . unless it isn't, but that would be a matter of taste.

Kidding of course. I would guess that the L00 has more in common with Bob's 12 Fret 0. Esp since we reduced the body depth a touch. You know, a Kalamazarethexauer. But this is speculation... I guess I am still kidding. It has been a long day. jm

Snowy unpleasantness did delay the L00's departure until today, but it has left in good company . . . very good company . . . for it traveled the first leg (at least) with the Koa Schoenberg. One goes to NY, the other to VA.

I could always bring it if you want to test out your theory... I also love the FT-16 (SJ) that Bruce made for me, but it indeed is a different animal. It has a large lower bout (16”) but a very narrow waist (9-1/4”) so it is very comfortable in a seated position. Bruce kept the depth moderate at 4-3/8” and it has a 5/16” wedge for comfort. The Oz’ Blackwood really is a “tweener” wood between Mahogany and Rosewood. It is quite different than the FT-0, but fantastic in its own way.

I can hardly wait to hear what you guys think of each other’s Guitars! I expect others to also check them out, or Bob’s anyway, and hope to hear about that as well. I am so lucky to be able to do this work and to get to this level!!! Couldn’t do it without you all.

I thought the strength of the timbre was because Bruce is picky when buying wood.
