My Tele doesn't get played much but I built it so it's mine. My mandolin really needs attention but I'm writing and gigging so much right now I just don't have time. It'll get played soon though so I'm hanging on to it. The only thing that needs to leave is my Recording King 000, I've got three other guitars that do the same thing.

Default Where do I ug it in?

Everything related to electric guitar. I built a Strat from parts with 7 tone choices, Eric Clapton on board preamp etc.
Then there's the various amps-Fender Tweed Blues Deluxe, Roland, etc plus a bunch of pedals.
Oh, I gotta admit the 12 string has been ignored for months as well.
Let's focus on what does get played then - all the rest!

Default not used

Mostly, I get rid of things if they are not going to be used... but there is that plastic charango my daughter gave me, the tiple that sounds great but I can't figure out what to play on it. And my Zoom R16 recorder that I really ought to sell to someone who can figure these things out better than I can.

I have a foot pedal to scroll my music on my tablet. Honestly I just haven't had time to work with it much. Seems kindy touchy. Just needs some getting use to I think. Now I have to find time and then remember to use it.

I keep things if they're used or if they have sentimental value, as in instruments which were gifts....other than that, not too much. I do have too many acoustic pickups and need to clear some of them.....

I have the intention of really getting my Celtic stuff played on it fingerstyle with picks, but I've yet to get myself organized. I really must because it sounds great with that kind of music.
Nice! You'd find plenty eager buyers for that beauty over on the CF dept.
OK, I wasn't going to join in here, but you made me !

I CONFESS:
My most recent bout of GAS brought me an Emerald X7 , a lovely little 24"scale , 6 string guitar , similar in appearance to the Amicus, but green.
but of course I don't really NEED it , I just WANTED it.

I've shown it to all my playmates , who were suitably impressed, but I think we're all over the novelty now.

I will get around to listing it, (along with about a dozen various others,,,) It's just that selling stuff is so much more bothersome than simply buying.

I've already purged most of my non-used gear/gadgets. But, I still own a Tele, Fender Super Champ, and looper pedal, that I virtually never use. I've sold so many electrics over the years--because I don't play them--only to buy another at some point down the road because I get the itch. So, even though I could sell the Tele & amp and not miss them, I'll keep 'em just to get off the hamster wheel!

It's not for everyone, but it's been great for me. I have a small clutch of acoustic instruments (4), my car... other than that, everything I own fits in three boxes that I can easily carry one at a time, and a couple of duffel bags full of clothes. I could pare down much more if need be.

Bear in mind, I live with my wfe and two teenage daughters, so there will always be "stuff" but they have also gotten rid of a ton of things.

We like to move. And travel. And travel light. I don't want too many possessions weighing me down anymore. Gets in the way of living, for me.
