Default Installing undersaddle ES2 pickup

Hi all,

I know how to drop the saddle pick up out from the under the bridge and reinstall or but I wanted to know it there if any sort of hidden trick to unplugging the end that looks like a head phone jack from the preamp. Do I need to remove the preamp ? Is there any sort of lock on this? Or is it a simple plug and play. Can't seem to find an answer online. Help please.

You

after you take out the battery compartment, remove the 2 screws that holds the endpin unit. I believe the preamp is connected to the jack (with a small circuit board) in a pin connector fashion no soldering/unsoldering should be needed. I you don't want to remove the preamp, use a cable clip to hold the cables inside the body
