Default Help deciding CA OX or CA Gx

I have been waiting 4 weeks for Sweetwater to get their shippment of Composite Acoustic GX guitars in. Sweetwater promo of 36 months at zero percent interest runs out on Friday. I called Composite Acoustics and asked what the hold up was. I was informed that that they did not have any Gotoh tuners and could not say when they might be available. They also said they may switch to Hipshot tuners, but had not made a decision yet. My rep at Sweetwater has confirmed this and no longer has an eta for this guitar.
Now, I was considering the Ox Raw. Sweetwater does have this in stock.
Can anyone compare the two for me? I am wondering if I would be just as happy with the smaller body.

The GX is rather hard to get right now for some reason, we just got one in yesterday that was ordered several months ago. I would not want a GX with Hipshots, BTW, and to be honest, I can't imagine the delays have anything to do with the tuners given that other models using the same Gotoh tuners are available.

As to the differences, the OX is an orchestra model, and the GX is a grand auditorium. If you're after the tone of the GX, you wont get it from the OX.

I've owned both (both from Ted many years ago) and I would recommend the GX.

Thank you Ted, it always amazes me how helpful you are even though I mention buying from a competitor. You really are a class act.
If I could get the same financing available through you , I would buy in a heartbeat. I may just have to save up and wait to be able to make a purchase from you.

I wonder if Ted has a lay-a-away plan?

Problem is , I sold both my Martins, thinking this would be my one guitar as I live on a boat. Now I am going through withdrawal.

I'm a pre-peavey GX owner but I have played the OX, albeit briefly. The OX was better than I expected, a pretty nice guitar, but the GX is definitely a bigger, louder, richer instrument IMHO. Personally, I'm not keen on the raw finish but it doesn;t matter to others. The price difference is significant though!
