Dennis,

Alas, someone else got to me first and I've already got plans for Saturday night.

I'll be working the Fretboard Journal display. I hope that all AGFers will stop by and introduce themselves!

John

OK, lets get fired up crew !!! Anyone else bubbling with anticipation? I am really looking forward to our first show of the year. It will be much needed opportunity to get out of the shop for a few days. Cabin fever is really hitting me hard this year. I looking forward to a fun filled road trip with my better half, reuniting with old friends and meeting lots of new ones.

I'm excited. This is my first time to meet these world class builders and many AGFers I've yet to meet. Really looking forward to it!

I hope that folks will stop in, ask questions, and enjoy my Sunday, 11:45 am "master class":

"The Fretboard Journal Generations Roundtable
The Fretboard Journal Generations Roundtable will explore and contrast how the craft has changed and evolved from one generation to the next. Fretboard Journal Editor John Thomas will serve as the host of this master class. Topics will include a discussion of how unique inspiration is found by individual guitar makers, technology considerations related to guitar construction, and how hand-crafted guitars are taken to market. A few of the panelists representing the “generations” include Tom Ribbecke, Stuart Day, and Isaac Jang. At 11:45, Ervin Somogyi will introduce the Fretboard Journal Generations Roundtable master class with a presentation that provides a truly interesting historical context."

We are checked in and waiting to get in the ballroom for set up. Looks to be a great venue.

As a reminder to all AGF members, please stop by our booth to pick up your free AGF badge. That way you can be on the lookout for other forum members to finally meet them in person.

We are sponsoring a concert Sunday morning at 11:00 AM played by Joe Mass. Joe just stopped by our room and gave us a sneak listen and all I can say is WOW, Joe is an awesome musician and you will be in for a very special listening treat, if you can make it?

Default 1st Day Activities

Took some pictures but they are blurry. Will get the tripod out tomorrow. But here are a couple videos from todays activities.

Having some fun with the McKnights.

John Slobod and jt1 (John Thomas from Fretboard Journal) talking about the first ever Circa OM-45. Yes it is the one John is playing.
