Two suggestions for K&K pickup DIY install
1) A lightened inspection mirror...
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0052EE1EU?psc=1 2) Latex/nitrile gloves https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M32O0XY?psc=1 I had the forethought to buy the mirror and loved it. Wish I'd thought to buy the gloves.

Why the gloves? The mirror is obvious.

Maybe I did something wrong, but I followed the pamphlet to the letter.
After holding the jig for 30 seconds I then let it cure for 10 minutes more. When I pulled it away there was a fair amount of putty left. This is where things got messy. Trying to scrape it away, even after another twenty minutes of curing exposed tiny amounts of not quite dried glue. What I probably should have done is let all three dry a day or two and THEN try to scrape away the extra putty.

A little bit of nail polish remover will take those glue remnants right off your hands.
I've also started using regular liquid super glue in my K&K installs rather than the gel super glue they recommend. You have to be a bit more careful applying it to the pickup and then sticking it to the guitar, but it dries a bit faster and is less messy overall I've found. -Mike

Cover the guitar so you don't get drops of glue on it.
