Oh, what a beauty! Absolutely stunning! I especially love the headstock and bevels. I am sure that the mountains have some influence on your artistry. I'm a Carolina girl and feel perfectly at home in the mountains, so I understand completely the feeling of serenity that comes from being among the trees. It surely must have been an influence in the flow of your work. I look forward to your photos of the completed guitar. The new owner is a fortunate soul.

I really appreciate your comments. It sounds like you live in wester North Carolina. Love the old rounded and worn hills.

Smile Good Golly Miss Molly!

This one is going to RAWK!!!

John, you never cease to amaze me. This was wonderful to find when checking in to my hotel in Williams AZ. Tomorrow I am off to play two weeks at the Bright Angel Lodge at the Grand Canyon.

I am taking both your #99, and #128 for this gig. They are SO FINE!!!

Have fun assembling and play the heck out of it for a few weeks! And if Mike gets there have him play it too! It will be going to gigs as soon as I get it...

Cheers

Paul

Very cool gig to play at the Bright Angel Lodge!

Have fun and enjoy those Kinnairds--and congrats on the new one to join the fold soon!

Smile Thanks

Thanks Nemoman

It is like a blast from my past to play a two week bar gig! Now I am almost always at Senior or Healthcare places during the day.

I have been playing at the BA for about 16 or 17 years. I lived in Flagstaff for six years and started then.

John, this one is raising the bar! Thanks

Cheers

Paul

Smile Grand Canyon report...

As promised I brought both JKs (99 & 128) to the GC. I have received more compliments on my sound than ever in the 16 (or 17?) years I have played here!

Signal path: JKs with K&Ks into a red eye, into my TCHarmony G into my Acoustic Image corus III and a couple extension speakers. All cables are Mogami Gold. Yes I am a tone junkie even in a noisy bar...

Having fun! Thanks John

Rock on gang...

Cheers

Paul

You are welcome Paul though I cannot take much credit for the red eye nor any of the other incomprehensible items listed thereafter.

Smile Silk purse syndrome...

Hey John, if the guitars were not awesome acoustically nothing would fix it. All the electric BS just makes it louder! Haha. But they really sound like themselves, through the PA, which is REALLY GREAT!

Plus, I must mention, the lovely neck carves JK has so dialed in for my small worn out hands. And the comfort bevels are doing their job, too!

20 sets in 5 days is still do-Able even at my advanced age and decrepitude

Still, it is good I have lots of jokes, and don't have to drive more than a mile!

Has anyone else asked for an asymmetrical neck carve yet? Amazing what a difference in comfort a 100th of an inch or so can make!!!

BTW Mikes new beauty is looking SWEET!

Cheers

Paul

Smile She is done.

This beauty is being played by a couple fine AGF members who are currently visiting John!

I just got the word that one of them has put in an order for a very similar JK!

Hahahahahahaha.... I warned John about this distinct possibility!

Have fun, gentlemen!

More pics soon to help me in my waiting?

Cheers

Paul

Why thanks bro. You are in the distinct minority. In fact you may be the only person who found this amusing. Maybe its a family thing. Maybe its folk humor.

That is a SPECIAL guitar Mr Paul!! You're gonna love it. Rob had his checkbook out, but John was able to keep the new buyer at bay. I think it is almost ready to go. A tweak here and there...but it plays beautifully. Comfy city!! Paul, it's got your name written ALL over it!!
