Thanks, I'm surprised at how good the Zoom sounds with very little effort on my part. I just set it up in front on the guitar and let it roll. At first the hard part was trying to edit it down with Windows Movie Maker. There was some file incapability as the Q2n puts out a .mov file and the Movie Maker needed an AVI file. A friend suggested I try a 30 day trial of Corel as a video editing software program. I tried Corel and it worked beautifully for me, very easy learning curve. Good solid program so I bought it to get rid of the nag ware. The Corel is also working well with my other camera's as well. So it's become my video editing software of choice.

So today I went to the local thrift store and bought a used Kensington laptop case to keep all my cameras, video cams, chargers, manuals in one place. Looks and works perfect, only $4.99. I looked it up, those cases normally sell for $29-$49 bucks !!

Hey this laptop case is working out great. I spent all afternoon organizing things in it. I paired up all my camera's and cell phones with their respective chargers. Then bundled them up using rubber bands that come with broccoli heads. I've been saving these rubber bands for years, and never knew what to do with them. They hold camera's and phone chargers together very well, everything is organized instead of a cardboard board box full of wires you have to sort thru every time you need something. The case is great, it has a bunch of different compartments built in. So I use one for mic stand or tripod mounting accessories, another one for spare USB cords and misc. connectors, another one just for the windscreen...and a couple extra pockets for future use. (Film, SD memory cards, batteries, external stereo mic.... etc..

The case keeps all my camera stuff together in spot, instead of all over the house and junk drawers....

I tried hooking up my Tascam TH 3000X headphones to the Q2n's headphone jack...man was I surprised by how good it sounded. The onboard speaker is horrible, but when you use a decent set of headphones, you get a really nice sound.

Ya, you want to get an ac adapter, or else you'll be buying good quality batteries every two-three hours. The cheapo batteries don't work very well.

I had to spend some time learning the Corel software, but have all the bugs worked out now, I think. I'm able to grab an audio track, put it into Sonar or Audition, add effects such as chorus , EQ, reverb, and add it back to the video.

Thanks, yes it's me jamming on Treetop Flyer by Stephen Stills. I just picked up on it in the last couple of weeks, so I don't know all the fills yet.... but it's a fun tune to jam on. Sounds great on the D-35. Sounds even better when I run it thru the Fender SFX amp and add Chorus and EQ....mmm, mmm
