I thought you sounded pretty good. I thought as you know the production has some issues but it just makes it sound like a guy with a mic and a guitar. Nothing wrong with that and it does offer a general feel of your performance.

That said I can see why you might want to up the production value. On that many have given you great advice. Give it a shot.

And that is so cool in Finnish, honestly 1st time I ever heard.

Thanks again Ty and Acoustic Pain. And ADK, kiitos

I'll give it a shot as soon as my 4-month old son gives me time again. My neighbour has a studio about 150 meters from my house and I guess we could do a cheap promo thing there but I really want to learn to do this myself.

And thanks for the positive comments on my playing and singing, it gives me a nice confidence boost

I'll give you a heads up when I have finished recording again

Heyhey.

Long time since my last post to this thread.
I recorded a few songs using my Zoom Q3 -camrecorder.

Can you tell me how's the quality compared to the track I started this thread with? Rooms better I think? Is Q3 good enough to make promotracks?

Recording tone is one thing, but the most important thing in a demo is good singing and rhythmic guitar for solo club gig demos. I would spend the most time working on your vocal pitch. Out of tune singing will close more doors than recording quality on a demo.

Your vocals are too far from the mic but I agree with rockabilly69: put your energy into your singing for now. A closer, better recording will only exacerbate your intonation problems.

Ok, thanks for the feedback.
It was taken from a liveshow so
I didnt have much control on the mic placement.
But now I know where to focus. After a few listening times I can hear the problems too.
