Default Yamaha Guitar info

Hi,

Can anyone help with any information on a Yamaha FG-455?

On Yamaha's Guitarchive website I can find FG-450 and FG-455A but not FG-455.

A search on the web also doesn't result in anything useful.

I'm guessing it was made in the mid/late 1980's.

Any information on its reputation, materials and possible value would be appreciated.

Regards

NSGrumpy

I would guess that it is all laminate. Many of the 400 series guitars have a spruce top and rosewood back and sides. Most models from the 80s without an 's' after the model number would be all laminated woods. The s denotes that the top is solid spruce. Have you got a pic?
