Go for it. The Peavey's not a boutique amp, but it'll serve you well. And if you can't tweak it and get the sound you want, you can sell it and get something else.

I've got a YCV80 and just picked up a fender blues jr. and man, I love that amp. sounds killer and it's only about 30lbs. you should try one. I mic mine up and play over drums and bass just fine.

also, I've got a classic 50, and while it's a good amp with new JJ tubes, it's nothing like the fender in tone. imho. the fender clean is closer to the traynor (or vice-versa really) than the peavey.

I did end up finding a used Reverend Hellhound. I'll try to remember to post a review after I get it. 38 lbs and switchable from 60 to 40 watts. Small but loud. One channel, but I have a Tonebone Hot British on the way for the high gain.
