Great Scot. What a gorgeous instrument. Will there be clips?

Oh yes! I can certainly do some sound clips. I'm anxious to hear what Mark hath created, myself.

What do you think of these white ebony tuner buttons?

It would take a minor miracle for it to sound as good as it looks

You want to know what is really crazy? Mr. Hatcher in fact is able to do that with his guitars.

That is coming together wonderfully. J.R., you're in for a treat. Marks guitars are fabulous. Yours looks stunning. Enjoy it!

Kindly,

Hi Mark and J. R. -

I just got myself caught up on this build thread and I have to say that I LOVE everything about this guitar so far. Great design, beautiful woods, perfect specs (for me anyway). I am so excited to hear what it sounds like and to get the report when J. R. gets this baby in his hands. Very impressive.

And I thought that I was not in the market for another guitar. Silly me.

Best,
Jayne

Thanks Jayne,

I got the strings on this week and JR will have it probably the middle of next week. Sounds great so far! More volume and base than I expected and very nice tone from the cedar.

Thanks Again!
Mark

Thank you for the kind words, everyone. Mark did a beautiful job judging from the pictures and I can't wait to hear how it sounds. It wont be long now... Here are a few new shots of the guitar with strings.

.... easily one of the most gorgeous acoustics I've ever seen. And unlike many blinged-out guitars, everything on this one looks functional and purposeful.

Just phenomenal.

What an awesome looking guitar, love that Cedar top! That haedstock is a work of art in itself, I love the contours and it is so much more than your standard flat headstock.. just lovely. I can't wait to hear the sound clips!

So, Mark, after this build.. do you think that this style guitar will be added as a build option.. Or, is this more like a one and done kind of thing? (I know you said you were scared of this one.. just want to know if you overcame that enough to do another one, lol).

J.R., I gotta ask.. do you have some kind of secret lair where you have wall-to-wall custom guitars somewhere? Every time I venture to this section, it feels like there is another "Build for J.R." thread going, lol. I'm envious !!
