Thanks for all the kind words Folks!
What a lovely pair of guitars! I think we're as eager as you to receive them and give your full report!

The Brondel’s have landed...!!! They sound & look better than I ever imagined... Mission success, Laurent hit a grand slam! I’ll be making this brief, as I’ll be building a separate page specifically dedicated to a review and full photo shoot of them both... To sum it up, I’ll be floating in Heaven on a pink cloud in the meantime:-)

Holy Toledo! Those are impeccable and beautiful. I'm one of those guys who rants against the use of BRW, particularly the wild-grained stumpwood and other ostentatious pieces, but to see the really "good old" straight-grained, ideal stuff in use speaks for itself. That's what I think of as really beautiful, musical BRW. Similarly, I don't like fussy, precious guitar-making, but that is not what you have here. It is so easy to see the precision and intention in everything, and to see beauty and function in the proportions, etc., that using superior and beautiful materials is of a piece with the whole nature of the build. These are stunning without being showy. I generally don't care that much about other people's fussbudget guitar obsession/commissions, but I would love either of these (or both -- I'm not fussy...) because they are, first and foremost, great guitars, not just great-looking expensive guitars.

Laurent’s strong suit is coming up with unique designs that are elegant and graceful and, yes, “fussy free.”

Congrats, can’t wait to see the review. I need to play one of Laurent’s guitars.
