Default Short Scale 6 String Plans

I'm interested in building a short scale six string solid body electric guitar something in the 20 to 21 1/2 inch range. I would appreciate any information about where I could acquire a detailed set of plans for an instrument of that type. Thanks in advance. Will

LMII sells a small guitar that's approximately a Martin size 5, with a 21.4" scale length.
You could mod it to be solidbody.....

Yes - a Size 5 is the typical "Terz" guitar with a 20-22" scale.. Plans and info are available.

Another good option is to use the shape/pattern off of an old Stella/Harmony 3/4 size. The body is 17 1/2" long and 14" wide. 23" scale. 12 frets to the body. Strung with medium strings - they feel like a "normal" guitar strung with light strings. Extremely comfortable to play on the couch.

Thanks for the replies! Anybody know where I could get plans for a "Rick" type 325?

Missed the part about a small electric guitar.....

Honestly I am not too familiar with them.. Have you checked out the guitar building forums that predominately feature electrics like project guitar and tdpri?

For an electric build, I'd say design it yourself. Start with your scale length and then draw your body around it. That's the benefit of building your own.
