Strat p'up dilemma
So,
My Strat was sounding normal in the "middle" p/u position, but neck and bridge sounded about 1/2 volume and very thin by comparison. I bought a pre-made wiring harness from "ToneManGuitar". It came with new pots, new tone cap, new out-put jack and new 5 way switch. While installing new "guts" I dripped solder down into the new switch and ruined it. I cleaned up the old switch and reinstalled it. Now I've got "Middle" p/u normal, "neck" p/u 1/2 volume and thin, "bridge" p/u 1/2 volume and thin and I've got a wicked hum from neck and bridge p'ups. Basically the new wiring harness appears to have not solved anything. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Many ways to wire your guitar, in series or in parallel, in phase or out of phase, these all contribute to the end sound.
Do you have photos of your wiring Steve
