Looking good. I think it's coming together nicely!

I wish I were better at cutting those channels more accurately. Thank goodness for rosewood dust and ca glue

Not to be a nit picky naysayer, but...

Isn't the inlay more commonly found at the 15th, not 14th fret?

Pretty cool. Did you design those inlays yourself and get them CNC cut elsewhere? Or were they a pre-existing design? Where did you get the cnc-ing done?

hi..
I THINK i put up there somewhere that I didn't do the cut out.. I've done a LITTLE work with a saw and blanks, but it is reasonably cheap to buy this kind of thing vs the time invested.

I do have a few vines left over.. although it won't be "Correct" i wonder if i should put something at the 15th also.
I also have loose "leaves" that can serve as dots

Looks really nice. I like the looks of that back and side wood. The top looks like it's got some nice silk too.

So I haven't figured this out yet... and have probably executed it wrong on previous builds. But.... what is the correct way to get the nut fluah w the edge of the fingerboard at the headstock turn? The nut needs to be in this place in order for the 14th to meet the body at the right place.

Do I angle the nut on the bottom or do I try and angle the nut slot?

I'm sure more knowledgable builders than me will chime in. I set the nut on the fingerboard side ahead of the headstock rake. That way the base of the nut is 90deg. to the fingerboard. The top. Side of the nut gets a radius up to the tuners anyway, so I see no advantage to setting the nut at an angle.
