Default NAD - Fender Acoustic 100

Traded some gear I wasn't using today for one of these. This is the new line of acoustic amps Fender introduced at Winter NAMM. Dang thing sounds great and at 100 watts will cover a small room gig really well. I'm stoked.

I was originally looking at a Loudbox Mini, but this one had better effects, more power (100 watts) and is extremely clean and clear. And it's purty....

I got one of these last week. Haven't had much time to really test it out yet but it seems to be very bass heavy. What kind of pickup are you using with it?

Very attractive price, too. Glad to hear that you like the sound of the Acoustic 100. The Acoustic Pro is certainly a very good sounding amp, although at $1000, it's expensive. But $300 for a good sounding and good looking alternative to the Loudbox Mini is something the market needs.

It is bass heavy but that's easy to EQ out by rolling off the bass on the amp. I've got several guitars that I gig with regularly and this amp seems to like passive pickups more than active.

I've got one guitar with a K&K, one with a JJB and one with a Baggs M1 and it likes all of those just fine. I've got two X series Martins with the factory Fishman active pickups and one it's pretty cool with but the other one it doesn't like at all. I can roll of the highs and roll the volume back on the guitar and it plays pretty nicely but it definitely doesn't want to.

One thing you guys might try if you're having bass issues is using an Auralex Gramma under your amp.

I've found that these make a huge difference with acoustic amps. De-coupling from the floor may allow you to have much control over your sound.

I bought mine because some venues are just too small to justify setting up my Bose Compact with all the effects and cables required. I can carry in my guitar, amp and two cables and be ready to go in 5 minutes.

I can see that some of you already own this amp. It would be great to know some things about it.

A recent review tell that this amp is very sensitive, prone to feedback. Did you have the same opinion? How well does this amp deal with feedback issues? I don't see any anti-feedback controls like the also new Boss ACS or the Marshall AS50D.
I only see a phase switch. How well does that perform?

Is it possible to use a VoiceLivePlay in one channel to be able to use one instrument + voice in that channel, and another voice in the 2nd channel?
Is there any limitations using it like this (like volume limitations)?

The pictures of this amp are scarse, but the one that I found, one can see that it has 2 balanced outs. Doesn't it have D.I. out?

And what about ground lift?

By the way, the front mesh proptects well enough the speaker? It seems to be the kind of thin mesh found in the Marshall AS50D.

Thank you so much for your help.

The pictures of this amp are scarse. Once that you have this amp, could you please tell me if it does have D.I. out?

And what about ground lift?

Both channels have XLR and 1/4" inputs so you could run the mixed signal from the VoiceLivePlay into one channel and use the other channel for another vocalist.

The front of the amp seems to be protected as much as any other amp I've owned. I see no reason to be concerned about that however I would recommend being cautious with it as I am all of my equipment.

There is an XLR DI out on the back to run to a PA system and I've found no issues with feedback. I was able to find plenty of good pics of everything you're asking about in eBay ads and online retailers such as Seeetwater. Also there are some really good demonstration videos on YouTube.

Thank you for your help. I was just editing my post, as I found some extra informations.

I can see you tell the amp has DI out but I didn't see that in the back panel picture. I can only see two XLR balanced Line Outs (left/right).

Does it have ground lift?

A recent review tell this amp is prone to feedback. Do you have the same opinion?

Thank you very much.

I have had no issues at all with feedback. The phase switch reverses polarity on the ground so it eliminates hum like a ground lift. The dual XLR outs on the back is the DI.
