Arrow SOLD: Doerr Legacy Select Cedar/Rosewood...legendary tone

Doerr Legacy Select Cedar/Rosewood

I celebrated the 4TH by allowing someone the opportunity to make their own musical FIREWORKS with this great guitar at a BARGAIN price of SOLD!!

Tom Doerr has become a well respected Custom boutique builder and his builds are not often found available for sale. And if you do find one, they are usually priced over $4000 and seldom priced like this one...to sell.

This one is a stellar guitar by any measure. The projection of this guitar blows away ANY Cedar topped guitar I've ever played, and many spruce topped guitars as well. Stunning tone. This guitar is in beautiful condition. It was built in 2007, but you'd swear it was built in much later years as it has been well preserved. It is just a very nice guitar.

Dream guitars said of this guitar:

"This Doerr has an extra heaping dose of richness and sustain to set it apart from its Spruce equivalent. Featuring a dynamic setup that's accessible to both fingerstylists and flatpickers, this guitar is perfect if fat trebles and meaty mids are your craving. We put this Doerr through its paces with DADGAD, Cadd9, and Open G, and no matter what tuning we tried, the Doerr remained crisp and focused. With a projection that's fierce even by Spruce standards, this Cedar-topped Doerr easily cuts through the mix. Outfitted with Gotoh 510s for smooth tuning and a Cedar Creek case for sleek protection, this Doerr Legacy Select is a gorgeous workhorse ready for some serious music."

Default Doerr Legacy

If I didn't already own two, this Doerr would be on the way to my place. Do yourself a favor and snap up this incredible guitar at a bargain price.

I had a Doerr in Lutz and African Blackwood and it was hands down one of the most well built guitars I have owned. Impeccable fit and finish. Then after zeroing in on the proper brand and type of strings for it, the tone was sublime.
Someone will be delightfully surprised with this one!

Many thanks to those of you who have commented on this guitar...Dave, Blews, Andy, ukejon, stringspan, ChrisN, and of course Rye!

I have been pleasantly surprised by the many who have expressed interest in this guitar. I knew it would be a hit, but really didn't anticipate this large of a response. Thank you AGF! At this moment, the guitar is still for sale and it IS NOT not too late to reach out to me. With a long weekend, my hope is to finalize something soon so it can go out to the new owner on the 5th.

Of course, a full price cash offer gets it hands down no delay...and as stringspan pointed out, this guitar is at a bargain price right now.

Speak now...

Tom Doerr is a top-shelf builder that may be under the radar of some. I put him on or near the same level as Kevin Ryan and Jim Olson. The Doerr I owned reminded me very much of a Ryan in tone, playability and workmanship. Can't go wrong here--buying from one of our most solid forum members.

Smile Drool...

Hey Mike

Is it an optical illusion or does this have a slight Manzer wedge? Sure looks that way on the most famous AGF table!

Enjoy the weekend!

Cheers

Paul

"Just one more" would fit nicely in the middle of all of those great guitars in your signature

Paul, Thanks for the kind words. This one does not have a manzer wedge. I think my camera created an optical illusion.

Roger, Thank you. Come and get it! I can only imagine that come of that very cool stuff you do on a guitar would sound friggin' amazing on this one.

Celebrate the 4TH by making your own musical FIREWORKS with this great guitar at a BARGAIN price of SOLD!!

Also, I almost forgot to show a picture of the back of the headstock. One of the cooler parts of the guitar. Very special indeed! This is a horrible picture taken in my garage with my phone, but you'll get the idea!
