Default Best classical up to £350?

Hi all

Long time electric and lately steel acoustic player, now looking to buy my first nylon string acoustic.

Not bothered about onboard pickups or anything, just your best recommendation for a guitar that won't disappoint. I've been looking online at Cordoba C5 and Admira Concert, both for £250. They're both available to try locally, but I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Many thanks

I would recommend that you at least check out two other guitars.
One is the Takamine C132s, cedar top, which has been made since the 70s.
Check Youtube and you will find some videos of this model being played. Another to check out is the Yamaha G2xx series (g240s, g245s, g250s, g255s), made in the late 70s and early 80s. They have spruce tops, can also be heard on Youtube. I have the C132s by Takamine, and the G245s by Yamaha. Both are very well built, both are from 1977. I got the C132s for $450 US, and lucked out on the Yamaha for $185 US.

These older guitars have tops made of a grade of spruce/cedar you can't find today unless you are willing to pay a lot more money. They also have opened up, and have wonderful tone, the cedar being more muted than the spruce.

Happy Hunting.

Dave
