Default Bone blanks?

Looking for a bone blank 1/2-3/4 inches wide and deep. Length about 4 inches. Does anyone know of a supplier who would have something that large?

David Warther should be able to supply those blanks for you.

You may have some luck looking at web sites that supply knife scales for the custom knife industry.

I make a lot of my own nuts and saddles out of sterilized bones I get from pet supply stores, and I've never run across any bones that would yield blanks that size... that's a pretty big bone! Most cattle bones range in thickness from about 1/4" to 3/8", maybe thicker in spots, but are irregular, and it would be unusual to find a piece that would yield 1/2"x3/4"x4". You might have to consider laminating pieces together.

Knife handles may be thicker than that, but they are likely hollow on the inside.
