Ain't building great? When I first started building with Steve 10 years ago, I was all full of ego and would ask questions like, "What does it mean to be a master luthier?" His response was usually something in the vain of - "When you can fix all your mistakes and no one can tell." 10 years of humbling later, the term master means much less to me, but I have become a very decent repairman. Sounds like you're doing great. Keep at it. I love going to work every day.

I forgot who said it but I like this one, "There are no such things as mistakes only learning experiences' or something like that.

I have had my share of learning experiences The fixes do come easier with experience, hang in there Rog

Thanks

Registration pins did the trick, and now the joint is drying. The neck started out as a 1-piece 14-fret neck, but I'm curious about 12-frets (I don't have one) so I might cut off the other end and do a stacked heel.

That poor neck didn't know what it was in for.

Apprentices make mistakes and don't know it.
Journeymen make mistakes and hide them.
Masters make mistakes, but they're part of their style.

You become a master when the other masters say you're one.
