Really a fine result, Bob - beautiful in both appearance and sound. Congratulations to both you and Bruce, and thanks for sharing the journey with us.

Thank you Ray...

I never had any doubt that the nexus of Bruce's mastery at the bench combined with use premium woods would produce spectacular results. For me, it has twice before...

Killer! I love all of Bruce's creations, but IMO he is the absolute master of the 0-sized guitar--that tone is otherworldly.

I believe this guitar is the 24th single 0 sized guitar that Bruce has made looking since 2004 looking at his "The List" which documents his more recent work (he's been building 50-years and the list really covers the last 15+ years). So Bruce is very well versed in this minute size of guitar at this point. I have played three of his single 0s over the last few years and all of them were outstanding guitars that were responsive, balanced and had a wonderful focus to their timbre.

Aside from Bruce's ability to conjure the best out what is on his bench through his acoustic mastery; what is different about his single 0s from traditional single 0s are a slightly lengthened body compared to the Nazareth namesake and the use of a long-scale (25.4") vs. the traditional short-scale (24.9") associated with these guitars. I believe that the added body volume and scale length contributes to making these companion sized guitars "different".

So Fedex was scheduled to deliver the guitar tomorrow (March 17th).

Of course while at work today, I receive an e-mail alert from Fedex that it was "out for delivery" at 11:45 AM followed by a "Delivery Attempt Made" notification at 12:45 PM (argh!). Good news is they are holding it at the Fedex distribution center which is open late tonight... A quick dinner of leftover turkey chile verde and a salad and then off to Fedex..

Skip the dinner - go straight to the dessert!

Short term satisfaction...

Nah, I am taking the long-term strategy. Have a nice dinner ready for my wife when she arrives home for work (I do all the cooking and she has the longer commute) and then go get the noise making indulgence at Fedex...😀

Bruce's guitar arrived here in the snowy east coast AOK (always a bit nervous during transport of a new instrument). It is every bit as beautiful in person as it was in the photos that I shared. It is a true masterpiece instrument in every detail. It weighs 3 lb. 6 oz.

After 45 minutes of play this evening, it is premature to share my full playing impressions other than to say it is a wonderfully musical instrument, an absolute joy to play and its timbre leads you to forget that it's a modest sized guitar.

More soon, but all is happy here in NJ...
