Default Hardest barre chord for me (so far)

So I'm learning the song "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz and I came across the F#/A# barre chord. Its only used twice in the entire sone but I have never had to use this chord before. It's basically playing a Cmaj barre chord with the barre being at the 6th fret. Looks like this:

6
7
6
8
9
6

I finally alomost have the darn thing down but wow did it take a while to learn!

Try sliding the whole shape down to the first fret and you will be forming a C# major. I found that really hard in a song I was learning so I use the A shape barre at the 4th fret instead to get C#.

But it's great when it fits into place after so much practising.

Try this, 1st string,high e mute. 2nd string, 7th fret, F# 4th finger. 3rd string, 6th fret, C#, 3rd finger. 4th and 5th string, 1st finger bar for F# and C#. 6th string, 6th fret, A#, 2nd finger. Voiced a little different but works nice and easy.

C shape barre (in this case a F# chord). The low 6th string being the third note of the chord you could just leave it out in most cases (sounds better) thereby having a five string barre (actually you could just barre the top three treble strings with the index finger, the second finger making a D shape, and the third and fourth fingers completing the C shape.

That A# at 6th fret 6th string could safely be omitted, IMO

It's the 3rd of the F# chord, and you've already got 1 on the top string.

There's also a similar movable form of C major open that doesn't require a full barre.

On the topic of barre chords, can someone suggest how to train for a double barre chord like B with just the pointer and ring finger?

Practice higher up the neck around fret 6. Once that feels comfertable you can try to improve your form around the first few frets.
