Default All mahogany? Yes, I am sold

I spent the afternoon with my kids playing outside for the first time this year. My new all hog Martin was superbly projecting and sounding perfectly. I'm sold. I love mahogany. And kids. And sunshine!

Beautiful guitar. I have recently been sold on mahogany also. My left hand 00015 is being built and I'm counting down the days.
Enjoy - the guitar and kids. I know I enjoy mine.

I've been sold for years. I'm an All-Mahogany nut! Can't get enough.

I'm so thrilled with my D-15M that I'll want to look into a 00-15 down the road. I'm curious what the cost would be with full gloss and a cut a way. I'm perfectly happy with the neck as is. Like I said....down the road.

Just spent the last hour playing my 00 15 custom in DADGAD tuning. Just beautiful. Everyone should have an all hog just to have a uniquely different sound to play with.

Yes, it's definitely growing on me. It sports Martin Retros now, which I think are as good as John Pearse 610, even if different. That little piece of hog is so natural in my hands.. During the photos I was playing Bermuda Triangle Exit by Grossman, which is a complex piece for me, but the guitar makes it so easy that I was actually joking with my son while playing it.. I think I could even consider selling my OM28V which is the best OM me and my teacher have ever played... Well, I'll think about it..

It's awesome when you find the one that just works for you! Though Id have a hard time parting with an OM-28V! Sounds like you have two incredible and very different guitars!

It's a Custom Shop, 00-17. All hog, 12 fret, hide glue, gloss finish, Tbar (no truss rod), rosewood bindings, ukulele style fingerboard design, 1 3/4 nut, 2 1/4 saddle, modified low oval neck, slotted head with Waverly tuners and a sound that makes you pinch yourself, a dream. I am afraid to tune the low E even lower because when I play the open low E the whole guitar trembles like an earthquake.. ;-) WOW!

Beautiful shot! Yes, what model have you got there? It looks a bit reddish in the photo. Love it and the gig bag too. I too favor mahogany and have several. Enjoy.

Hi, thanks. For the specs look at post #10. It's a Martin, I didnt mention.. ;-) the gig bag is a Bowoo, cool but expensive bag for going around the city.

Oooh nice. Missed that detail somehow and I'm not familiar with every Martin (they have so many).
