Default Best software for displaying lyrics while playing

I've mentioned here before that I use a laptop and MSPowerPoint template to display lyric/chord sheets in slide show mode while playing (a "lyric monitor"), with increased font and chords inserted in another color to easily refer to. Because of the font size I prefer to use, most songs span more than one slide, so I use a mouse on the floor (buttons facing me) and tap the left button with my foot to advance the slide. It works quite well, but I'd prefer to ditch the mouse if I can.

It's been reported here by a few AGFers that an iPad using an available app designed for this purpose ("OnSong" I think) allows to set-up an auto-scroll so the lyric for an entire song is on one screen. Apparently, it works very well.

I've contemplated buying an iPad, but after researching my internet/media/mobility tendencies/needs, plus the monthly fees, I've concluded I'd only be buying one for the "lyric monitor" aspect and therefore, just can't justify it (at least for now).

So, I'm wondering if anyone knows if an application like OnSong might be available for a laptop (I just bought a new MacBook Pro)? I really hope so.

Thanks!

Ah-ha! I think I just found what I've been looking for! A Foot Mouse designed exactly for what I've been doing with an ordinary mouse. And this one will scroll too.

http://electronicmusicbooks.com/footmouse.html

Page through sheet music with your feet
The foot mouse has a compact design that features a wide center pedal and two smaller outer pedals. The center pedal is factory programmed to perform left mouse clicks. Pressing it will page forward when viewing PDF files in Acrobat Reader (or PowerPoint in my case which I find works better). The outer "piano-key" shaped pedals offer two additional actions—right click and scrolling. A right click will page backwards so that you can follow the repeats in your music. Purchase for $179 + Shipping

I think I'm going to buy one.
