Well, I don't see them here, but the Beatles, Elvis, The Rolling Stones, all paid tribute to the Everly Bros for the influence they had on them. Going back some but fine acoustic guitar work.

Thanks for the Tull suggestions. I found one I really like: http://www.amazon.com/Best-Acoustic-...7328435&sr=8-2

Will probably get "Songs from the Wood" next. Great stuff. I had only heard their popular radio type stuff before (e.g. Bungle in the Jungle, T as a B, Aqualung, etc.). Ian Anderson is a talented musician.

Default acoustic albums

While I like a lot of the artists listed above from the 60's, 70's, and 80's, a guitar playing co-worker made a cd of songs by Slaid Cleaves and Robert Earl Keen ( I think I have the last name correct). Give them a listen, very playable music, great lyrics, nice clear acoustic sound. A+. GHS

That's Peter Lewis, son of Loretta Young, playing the fingerpicking part.
Now watch all the young bloods go scrambling to find this album!
This, along with Buffalo Springfield is what I cut several of my teeth on!

Best,
Howard
Me too, I still have my vinyl copy of Moby Grape. Not a bad song on the record but for the acoustic, "8:05" is great, the vocal harmony ain't too shabby either.
As for finding a copy, Good luck!!

Doc Watson's "Docabilly". Generally panned by critics who know not, that which is cool.
