Cordoba Fusion Orchestra vs Orchestra Pro
Has anyone tried both? The pro is all solid but I've never seen one in store, I'm curious of the differences, sonically, cosmetically etc. Does it sound incredibly better that it's worth the extra money?

Orchestra Pro Vs.
I researched these very thoroughly before buying one on Ebay a few weeks
ago. I wasn't able to play one, only other Cordoba solid models. I wanted the Pro because of the solid cedar/rosewood and the ebony vs rosewood fretboard. What I found was even though the Pro is discontinued, new models, if you can find them, are $1250, however there is a whole separate market on Ebay of so called "B" stock or refurbished stock that sells between $600-750. I got mine from a guy in Austin for $639. I cannot find anything wrong with it either cosmetically or structurely, including the set up. The only thing I did notice on all of the Ebay listings and mine is that the headstock is plain...it doesn't have the three Cordoba dot logo inlays. It also doesn't come with the high zoot hard shell case with built in humidifier. The polyfoam case it comes with is more than adequate. It sounds great to me and my other guitar is a $2700 Martin. It has a small imprint "used" on the back of the headstock and does not come with the factory Cordoba warranty. My seller gave me 14 days to return it. Hope this helps. |

Ended up finding a pre-loved Orchestra Pro with a cutaway, somewhat locally, which has been discontinued for a few years now, in great condition. Probably overpaid for it, still cheaper than new but I loved the sound, so am happy. Went to a few guitar stores and tried the tested the non pro and glad I waited out for the pro model.
Love the feel of the Cordova fusion, just makes playing so much easier than classical flat fretboard. |

I'm thinking of getting a used Cordoba fusion 14 at my local GC, but the sharp fret ends are preventing me from pulling the trigger. That and overly abundant amount of gloss.
