"Punchy"... lol ya I suppose that is pretty open to interpretation! A better way to ask would be with a song example. How do you thing this guitar would sound if used to play Signe by Eric Clapton?

Thanks.
IMO, with a K&K pickup the resonant and tonally clear Pono N30 would sound wonderful for that song (and arguably a bit better than the not-so-great UST tone EC is getting in his Unplugged video). It handles a stronger attack very well and is quite good for jazzy/bossa nova playing of this sort.

Flipguitar, in answer to your question I just threw down a quick sample of some Pete Huttlinger style playing in the same basic "jazzy punchy" genre as Signe (I had never heard that song....very nice):

The guitar has great low end but also that wonderful spruce high sparkle or presence that you typically expect on a steel string. Hope this helps.

Listened to your terrific clips (love the endless descending bass run in the Star Wars Theme). You will have a blast playing on this nylon crossover.

UkeJon-

I just watched your Over the Rainbow video and I hope you don't mind me stealing a few licks Nicely done.

**Edit** And when I say "some" I pretty much meant all. I didn't know how to play Over the Rainbow so thanks a lot for posting

Go for it. I'm a flagrant musical plagiarist, and stole lots of this from Tommy Emmanuel's version (once my eyes calmed down from watching his crazed harmonics). It is such a lovely fingerstyle tune and not hard to play. If you have any questions about particular chord shapes send me a PM. The F/G on the word "Rainbow" or the wonderful shift from C to Cm are so simple yet perfect, as is Tommy's descending/climbing bass runs in the chorus.
