Default sE4400a as "the" mic for second CD

We're planning to record a second CD next winter and we'd like to do it all (everything except mastering) ourselves. To that end I'm collecting and practicing with some new equipment.

The recording space won't be state of the art so I'm considering an sE Electronics sE4400a to use on pretty much everything (vocals, acoustic guitar, resonator, mandolin, banjo, drums) due to the selectable hypercardioid polar pattern.

Does anyone have any experience with this mic?

The sE4400a has been out for a few years, yet I'm unable to find much in the way of recordings or user reviews. So I've decided to change direction. For vocals, I'll use a Shure SM7b and a Cloudlifter. And for instruments I'll use my Miktek PM5.

I do like the sound of the SM7b on our first album: https://vimeo.com/119019768
