Mark Knopfler's "Isabella"
Yesterday John sent me this shop shot from 2008 (probably the last time I willingly wore long sleeves).
It was the freshly finished archtop he built for Mark Knopfler, named 'Isabella', and of course it is the guitar that inspired Mark to write the song 'Monteleone' in tribute to John's work. It's one of my favorite sunbursts! [IMG][/IMG] Shame that shirt clashes so much with it:-\ HE

That's a very pretty guitar. The headstock is a bit too large for my liking, but the rest of it is gorgeous!

Beautiful instrument for a beautiful person. I love that song by Mark Knopfler....and also his playing, his voice and his writing.
