Red face TRADED — Bourgeois JOM — NAMM 2012

I've had this Santos RW B&S, Adirondack-top Bourgeois JOM for a year, and it's opened up nicely. It's played "in rotation" with my other acoustics (a Collings CJ and two Eichelbaum's). I traded for it last September here on AGF with a fellow who was looking for a 12-fret instrument that I wasn't playing much (a Collings 00-1A).

I'm looking for a Collings SoCo for trade, or other interesting semihollow — it’s time to get back into electric again for me.

* TRADED *

This Bourgeois JOM was a guitar built for Winter NAMM 2012, and is a gorgeous guitar, with the DB Signature appointments — great Koa bindings, snakewood-buttoned gold Waverly’s, fossilized walrus ivory inlays and logo, and a killer sunburst. Great, tasteful design. There’s lots of silking in the fine and even-grained Adirondack top, and the nicest Santos RW (what I've always known as Pau Ferro or Brazilian Ironwood) back and sides -- very prominent and very straight, even figure.

The guitar hasn't been played out at all, except at a few lessons. It's in near-mint condition —
it has been played around my non-smoking Bay Area home for the past year, in rotation with 3 other high-end acoustics (a Collings CJ and two Eichelbaums -- an OM and an L-00). So, there will be light play-wear. I took it for a set up at Gryphon this summer to get the neck relief set up to spec. OHSC included along with it (high-end TKL, black with green velvet interior).

You can see and hear the guitar on the two videos linked below:

and this one comparing with my 2002 Collings Mahogany/Adirondack CJ):

You can search to find the lineage of the guitar on AGF -- I'm the 3rd owner, and I think we're the only 3 after it came on the market post-NAMM 2012. The previous owner had it less than a couple of months.

Cheers,
Marc

Default Awesome Hollow Body

I'm the opposite; bought electric gear and hardly play it.

How about a like new 2014 Heritage 535 with Fralin P92s and Bigsby, all black parts and trim, dark cherry wood. Have new Carvin V3m with 2x12 custom cab to go with. Original parts included.

PM or email if interested. For sale to any AGF member or partial trade on this nice JOM!

It is -- when my wife first saw this guitar, she pretty much gasped. As always, the burst is better in person than in the photos. It's pretty dramatic and well matched by the Santos RW.

Cheers!

Default Trip to SC cancelled due to rain...

So I'm home for the week to spend a little time arranging the sale of this fine guitar! Open to trades for Collings, PRS, or Knaggs hollow/semi-hollowbodies.

Cheers,
Marc
