Looking for Love - solo acoustic
Ultimate '80 cheeze. I hate that I love it. One take on guitar & vocals with a zoom h2, so nothing fancy. I had a head cold that I think helped the vocals. I need to figure out how to mic better as the guitar seems kinda loud and ring-y. All comments welcome. I'm trying to figure out how to do this acoustic solo thing.

hi @OldGuitar ... you've got a nice voice. Playing good. Do not underestimate those Zoom. Try to take the most of them, they are valuable and make nice recordings. Record the guitar and them the voice use your DAW and make a nice mix, even better than it is right now. Keep them coming

Nicely done, "Old_Guitar"! I think the "ring-y" sound is due to the recording environment rather than mic position. Try recording in a room that has a minimal amount of reflections, such as, a bedroom. Also, stay away from corners where reflections are the strongest...most experts recommend that you set up in the middle of the room.
